Harsha Iyer, a 19 year old Singer/Songwriter from Chennai, Tamil Nadu came out with his debut album titled CURIOUS TOYS back in September 2011 which released to widespread critical acclaim and was commercially well received as well all over India. Recently, Harsh Iyer came up with his new single MYSTERY WOMAN which comes from his upcoming second album WHEN ITS TIME which is available for "Free Download" on his BandCamp page.
Thematically The second Album WHEN ITS TIME deals with a bunch of characters who are caught in various situations during particular phases of their lives...many of the songs report strongly on the play of fate during these phases. Some of the stories are testament to times when some things either come an individual’s way or it just doesn’t. This could be both ways where an individual seems to be falling prey to bad times and seems to have no control of this aspect of his/her life or even times when an individual seems to want something good but at that point in time it just isn't coming his/her way no matter how hard he/she tries to get it and other real world situations and psychologically affecting troubles of today's world in which individuals are caught in.
Musically the second album will be a whole new exploration having it's moments of dynamics between fast and slow the songs are mood setting, highly textured and layered arrangements. There is a definite difference of exploration and shift from the first album’s raw sound to a more refined and polished acoustic guitar, piano , whole strings and brass sections (and many other instruments) oriented sound, with a little electronic influence as well. WHEN ITS TIME is a going to be a double album of 20 songs released in two parts one month apart. WHEN ITS TIME (Part 1) will be out mostly sometime mid April.
